Gregory Reyes’ Bio

Many people know Gregory Reyes for his role as the CEO of Brocade, and he has recently been in the spotlight for stock options backdating allegations. But only very few know who Gregory Reyes really is, and that more than just being a very eminent businessman he is the ideal husband, father, friend and humanitarian.

His role as father and husband has helped him strive over the years. Much of the success in his life has come from the desire to make his own family proud and Greg knows that without family, there is very little. The ideals and morals he portrays in his home life have carried over into his work, treating Brocade and it’s team, nothing less then family. In order for anything to be possible, we need support around us, and fortunately for Greg his family love and support has led him to become an overall immense person.

Greg Reyes is a True Leader

As far as being a businessman, Greg Reyes is a true leader. He has great passion for the success of the company, its people and ultimately the shareholders. Like most new companies, Brocade was no walk in the park. From the start, Reyes had competition with very successful companies such as McData and Cisco. His character and leadership is what made Brocade into what it is today. Even during tough times, the team never lost faith in his leadership. Employee loyalty and retention was very high, and the loyally did not just stem from everyday business tactics. It was Greg’s attention to his team’s health, happiness and well being which help describe his relationship to his colleagues. For example, when Greg found out that an employee’s boyfriend was in a serious car accident and did not have health insurance, Greg stepped up and paid for the entire expense, no questions asked.

It is extremely important to recognize that Greg’s success not only comes from being a stellar professional, but also from support he provides and receives from his team. And this support can also be found in his philanthropic participation within the community. Greg is a product of his community and strives to make sure he gives back to the same community.

Greg is a true philanthropist. I once read a story that he saw a news article about a migrant family who had lost their house and husband/father in a fire. He reached out and paid for all medical expenses for the family who were complete strangers to him…

Keep your head up Greg. People will soon see your true colors; a strong, inteligent, kind leader.

Greg never lose hope. They can try and impugn your honor, attack your character and sling all the mud they want. No matter what they do hope is yours until you surrender it so never surrender. With the way these cases are being exposed for what they are, cheap parlor game theatrics, very very soon this will be behind you for good.

Greg Reyes truly is the ideal family man and humanitarian… In one instance he payed for one of his employees’ brother’s medical care because of an accident he was in and he had no insurance. Reyes, out of his own pocket payed for all the medical expenses, anonymously.

Greg is an incredibly smart man. He has achieved to much and would NEVER commit any of the fraud he is being accused of. He has better morals than that.

I am just starting to read about the things listed here on this site and some others. According to all that I have read there is no way you can convince me that the man before us, Greg Reyes, isn’t an honest and upright individual.

  7. Jenn Veal says:

He just seems like an incredible man. I can’t believe this is all happening. Hopefully the jury in his case will be able to see past the prosecutor’s lies and see Reyes for who he really is.

I have had the privilege of meeting Greg and his family. I got to know him while he was fitness training with an associate of mine, and then when I helped implement the on site fitness facility @ Brocade. This is a man who cares about people. I have served in the military, and I can say that this is a man I would go to war with.

    Greg,
I was a CEO for the last 12 years and I have also been charged by the DOJ and assigned to Judge Charles Breyer. Once we appeared in court the same day and I met you in passing with my legal counsel from Keker and Van Nest.

This is the first time I have ever in my life been charged with anything and it has been a devastating experience for my family as well as me. Until you have been through the process with the DOJ and the media, someone would never believe that this could happen in the United States.

I would like to have the opportunity to meet you sometime over a cup of coffee. I am interested in how you developed the content for your website and achieved your letters of support.

Previously my legal counsel had advised me not to speak to anyone, so I understand if you are not able to talk with me. If we are not able to talk, I wish you and your family the best.

This is such a travesty over something so routine in the high tech industry. Greg singlehandedly put FC and SAN on the map, and should have been rewarded with an election to the hall of fame instead.
A fine should more than have sufficed. Government is clearly getting too big and intrusive .

When I once told Greg that he made our family of many “stars” proud… Greg said to me…”You all make me most proud.”

Even a star such as Greg…knows his place amongst the Reyes Family Members!
